Why Should I Forgive “Them”…?

Mark 11:25 (NLT)
25“But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”

We all have had someone do us wrong. Sometimes it can be as little as someone lying to you, or as big as your best friend stealing your boyfriend/girlfriend. Forgiveness isn’t the first thing that pops in our mind!

We are angry, bitter, hurt, and sad. Forgiveness is something we do not even want to think about. Yet, the bible tells us to forgive because God forgives us. I’m not saying that you’ll be able to forgive that person the minute after it happens, but you should start working on it as soon as you can.

Pray for God to help you forgive. Forgiveness isn’t the easiest thing to do, but it’s what needs to be done. It doesn’t change what happened, but it helps the healing process.
