The Beauty of God’s Strength

Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV)
28Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

  This passage has always been a favorite of mine. It’s a constant reminder to me that God is always there to give me strength. It makes me feel something so incredibly indescribable. I mean, how awesome is it that God, the Creator of the entire universe, is ready to empower you if you simply ask?

  One time, I was running at a cross country practice, and I got really tired. I still had about 2 miles left to run, so I sent a quick prayer to God, asking for His help. About five minutes later, it started drizzling, and the rain felt so good on my skin. As the rain was falling, I felt refreshed. I knew that God was answering my prayer. Since then, whenever I face any problem, I pray to God for His guidance and strength.

  God is waiting for your prayer. Maybe you need physical or emotional strength. Send a prayer to God and tell Him about your fears and obstacles. Then ask Him for the strength to face them. Have faith, because God will never abandon you.
