No Judgement Here

Matthew 7:1-2 (NIV)
1“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

You know that feeling, whenever you do something, that you think people are going to judge you? Or when you see someone doing something gross or weird, and you whisper your judgmental thoughts to your friend?

I was feeling the first feeling about a presentation, and I didn’t know how I was going to deal with it. I thought that nobody else had this problem. Then I remembered this scripture verse.

It doesn’t really matter what other people think. The only judgment that matters is God’s. So, stop worrying about how people might be judging you, and embrace God’s never-ending love.

Meanwhile, let’s think about how our own critical thoughts and gossip could affect the other person. Why do you think God doesn’t want us to gossip? What are some ways you can stop gossip from spreading? We need to keep in mind that God loves the other person, too.
