Reflect

Intimacy describes a close, friendly familiarity. God wants intimacy with you! He wants you to express your deepest thoughts to Him. He wants you to come to Him in your most joyous times and from your deepest pits of despair.

God created us to desire—even need—a relationship with Him. But often, we look for this relationship in other people and things. People and things can make us happy, but they can’t offer the depth of love that God has for us. Fill the gaps and holes in your life with God’s love.

Respond

How intimate are you with God? Is He your shelter? Is He the person you go to when you can’t make it any more? Know that God loves you with an unfailing love and created you to be in a close, familiar relationship with Him.
