John 16:33 (NIV)
33“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Romans 8:18,26-28, 31 (NIV)
18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
31What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Ever feel like your world is just tumbling down on top of you—nothing seems to be going right for you? Constantly forcing yourself to be happy so people won’t ask questions is a terrible feeling. It’s not a feeling you should want or want anyone else to have.
Life can be very cruel sometimes, but God works for good in all things. It’s often hard to believe that, but we have to trust that God knows best. Our happiness comes from
knowing that God can and will see us through every bad situation.
The world is not perfect, but God is. The world is full of uncertainty, but God knows exactly what to do in every situation. Don’t try to make it on your own. Always remember to put God first! If God leads you to it, He’ll get you through it.
