Plans? What Plans?

Read

Jeremiah 29:11 (CEB)
11I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord; they are plans for peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope.

Psalm 37:7 (NLT)
7Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.

Reflect

Being a high school student, I often have tasks that I don’t have time to complete. I have art, karate, Sunday school, and living up to my parent’s expectations. I hardly ever get any sleep too, due to my PTSD.

I often wonder if God has anything good planned for me, because I never have time to pull myself together and actually think about good things. It’s always rush, rush, rush, rush, “Sasuke, get out the door! We’re going to be late!” You probably know the feeling. What good can come from always rushing around?

God says to be still, and know that He is God. In my limited free time, I look to that verse for reassurance that God has plans for me.

Respond

It’s important to find time to be still and enjoy God’s presence. Remember that He has an incredibly amazing plan for you!
