Revelation 3:15-16 (NIV)
15I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

1 Corinthians 10:31 (CEB)
31So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, you should do it all for God’s glory.

The term “lukewarm” simply means “not fully committed.” Some call it having one foot in the church and the other in the world. I feel we often avoid the topic of being lukewarm because we don’t want to frighten anyone or call anyone out.

The truth is, Jesus isn’t satisfied with us being lukewarm Christians. He wants every second of our lives, not just a couple of hours on Sundays.

God gave us everything that we have. He even gave up His own Son for us. So, give God everything you are. No matter what you’re doing, “do it all for God’s glory.”
