Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)
13I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
14Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
Psalm 56:13 (NIV)
13For you have delivered me from death
and my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before God
in the light of life.
We all go through hard times. It’s part of living in this world. Maybe there was a life changing diagnosis in your family recently. Maybe someone close to you has died. Maybe you got into a car accident. But even on a smaller scale, maybe you didn’t do great on a test recently. Maybe you’re having friend drama. Maybe the stress of life is just really overwhelming. Maybe, you’re just having a bad day.
Big or small, it happens to all of us. Sometimes, it all hits you at once and you can’t even imagine being happy again.
But the amazing thing is, God promises that it will get better. We will experience His goodness in our lifetimes. He will deliver you from whatever you are struggling with right now. All God asks of us is to persevere, take heart, and wait. He is making a way for good things to come.
What are you going through right now? What have you gone through in the past? How have you seen God make goodness in your life? Take a minute to reread the Bible passages from today and remind yourself of God’s promise to you— that you will see His goodness and He will deliver you.
